By the way, my sister taught me that version, if you can believe. And the internet is represented by index finger on one hand going through the other index finger and thumb in an o sign because the internet is for pron, and of course religion is a cross.
nobodyofdistinction - September 4, 2015, 11:02 pm
Actually I play a version of paper rock scissors called "religion, the government, the internet". The internet kills religion, the government stifles the internet, and religion controls the government. And the government's gesture is a nazi salute.

It's because they're cheese eating surrender monkeys...
forseti - January 16, 2011, 6:11 am
So funny... A few people don't like Germany because of the history and all the Nazi crime, but everybody hates France - just because... For whatever reason.
agdaniele - January 16, 2011, 12:35 am
LMAO! And that was too good to be a motifake, you comment wh***?
Sean - January 16, 2011, 12:33 am
And too bad the French in WWII lacked the modern technology represented by the t-shirt gun. In war time it could easily be modified to fire ... white flags. They coulda surrendered at a distance of hundreds of yards at a time, with the right tail wind.
agdaniele - January 16, 2011, 12:32 am
Oui. Or Wi... or WWII. Macht nichts.
Sean - January 16, 2011, 12:30 am
Sorry. But they do paint them white, no? I mean, non?
agdaniele - January 16, 2011, 12:25 am
French cruise ships, unlike their battleships aren't armed with white flags. Learn your history, Sean.
Sean - January 16, 2011, 12:23 am
Don't you mean cruise ship? It could carry more fleeing French people than a battleship would.
agdaniele - January 15, 2011, 11:25 pm
White flags are easier to see atop a tower.
Claire - January 15, 2011, 10:33 pm
Zing.
AdmiralAckbar - January 15, 2011, 10:26 pm
thanks for pointing that out
pointer - January 15, 2011, 7:47 am
nope I meant battleship, the tower was built in 1889 (there was no concept of a tank) and a nations strength was measured by its naval strength.
Mooooooooooooooooooo - January 15, 2011, 1:41 am
Yep. That's a Tank
Sean - January 15, 2011, 12:07 am
Or am I thinking of Plato?
Sean - January 15, 2011, 12:06 am
Like Aristotle.
Sean - January 15, 2011, 12:06 am
Sadly, no. And do you think he has ever even heard of the Maginot Line? Or the Schleifen Plan? (forgive the spelling -- I don't google when I'm drunk. Too Belgian.)
Anonymous2 - January 14, 2011, 11:19 pm
You mean tanks instead of battleships, right? It is a LAND border between France and Germany.

I'm not talking about Gook Ear Stern.
Finchy123 - August 25, 2012, 11:34 pm
In the war there was a guy name Gook Ear Stern. My Great grandad remembers him from the war in the tales for Australia. He was a brave man and a great one too. He made through the war as a gunman, of course back then a gunman was one of the leaders.
jmanderson - June 3, 2012, 11:04 am
if it wernt for those two bombs there wouldnt be any japaneese people any more they would fought until they were all dead
pickleviper - May 30, 2012, 6:25 pm
Exactly. As terrible as the effects of the bombs were, there would have been a hell of a lot less people in the world when the war ended than if they hadn't been dropped. Thanks for your comment, Airman.
Airman - May 30, 2012, 5:17 pm
my Dad was in the pacific then. He flew in a B24 over Nagasaki the day before they dropped it. all of the troops were preparing for the invasion of Japan, and the casualty predictions were huge. On both sides. The bombs saved a lot of lives
pickleviper - May 30, 2012, 10:55 am
Thanks, mao.
maoworks2 - May 30, 2012, 10:22 am
Good Poster !
pickleviper - May 30, 2012, 5:28 am
RonE, I'm glad you agree we cannot point fingers, especially without knowing the history involved. Much of the world was in ruins. Hundreds of thousands dead. They did what they thought had to be done. No matter how hard the decision.
pickleviper - May 30, 2012, 5:07 am
...using them against the allies. In fact, nuclear materials captured from a surrendering German U-Boat (on its way to Japan) were used in the bombs themselves. The whole point of the poster is to ask what you or I would've done. In truth I cannot answer.
RonE - May 30, 2012, 5:07 am
I see someone commented on study history. Had nothing to do with "fanatasism." Nor "sticks and stones." People do not want to read or learn real history. Not nearly as exciting to know the real reason than it is to point fingers in angst.
pickleviper - May 30, 2012, 5:03 am
The decision to drop those bombs must have been extremely hard, and was made by strong men. Their actions cannot be either condoned or condemned lightly. The Japanese and Germans both sought nuclear weapons themselves, and would not have hesitated...
pickleviper - May 30, 2012, 5:00 am
What happened when the bombs were dropped was terrible, but the only other option was a land invasion of Japan, which would have resulted in horrific casualties on both sides, including civilians who were being rallied to fight as well.
ipaprime - May 30, 2012, 2:10 am
stcks and stones mixed with fanatasism and another 100,000 dead americans + who knows how many dead japanese. study history some time
